It's that time of year again - the annual ESPY Awards ceremony is finally upon us! This year's event, presented by Capital One, promises to be one for the books, as we honor the best and brightest athletes in the world of sports.

Among the athletes there are three currently partnered with Athlete Studio. The Eagles’ Jalen Hurts and Vikings’ Justin Jefferson are up for the “Best NFL Player” award while LSU’s Angel Reese has been nominated as the “Best Breakthrough Athlete” of the year. 

Jalen Hurts finished the 2022 regular season with a remarkable record of 14-1 in the 15 games he played. He completed 306 passes for 3,701 yards and 22 touchdowns, and added another 760 yards and 13 touchdowns on 165 carries. He was named to his first Pro Bowl, earned second team All Pro, and was a finalist for NFL MVP and Offensive Player of the Year.

Justin Jefferson led the Minnesota Vikings to a NFC North Division title with a 13-4 record. In the 2022 regular season he led the league in receiving with 128 receptions for 1809 yards and 8 touchdowns. He also led the league in catches for over 20+ yards, and was named the NFC’s Offensive Player of the Year while being a finalist for NFL MVP. 

Angel Reese, an All-American player, was a key figure in LSU’s championship win. She secured an NCAA record of 34 double-doubles, becoming just the fourth player in SEC history to lead the conference in both scoring and rebounding with an average of 23.0 points and 15.4 rebounds per game. Reese also set the SEC record with 555 rebounds and led the country with six games of recording at least 20 points and 20 rebounds. She was also named the Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player for her contributions in the tourney.
